Terichmir Basecamp Trek

The Terichmir Base Camp Trek is a stunning journey through the Hindu Kush range in northern Pakistan. It takes you to the foot of Terichmir, the highest peak in the Hindu Kush at 7,708 meters. This trek doesn’t involve technical climbing but is a challenging hike through beautiful valleys and rugged terrain.

Itinerary

Day 1:
Arrival in Islamabad

Welcome at Islamabad airport, and transfer to hotel. Afternoon proceed for city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which includes famous Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian, Pakistan monument, Damen Koh, Lok Versa, Museum, Rawalpindi old bazaar, Raja Bazaar. Altitude: 540 M Accommodation: Hotel Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 2:
Islamabad to Chitral

Take a flight or drive (12-14 hours) to Chitral. Arrive in Chitral and check into your hotel. Rest and acclimatize.

Day 3:
Chitral to Terich Valley

Travel by jeep from Chitral to Terich Valley (about 2-3 hours). Arrive and set up camp in Terich Valley or stay in local guesthouses.

Day 4-6:
Trek to Terichmir Base Camp

Start trekking from Terich Valley toward Base Camp, passing through scenic meadows, streams, and forests. Continue hiking through alpine terrain and rocky paths. Arrive at Terichmir Base Camp (approximately 4,800 meters). Set up camp and rest.

Day-7:
Rest Day at Base Camp

Spend the day at Base Camp to acclimatize to the altitude. Enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding peaks and relax.

Day 8-9:
Trek Back to Terich Valley

Begin the descent from Base Camp back toward Terich Valley. Arrive in Terich Valley and relax.

Day 10:
Terich Valley to Chitral

Drive back to Chitral by jeep.

Day 11:
Chitral to Islamabad

Travel back to Islamabad by flight or jeep. Rest in Islamabad and prepare for departure.

Day 12:
Fly Back to Home
