Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival Skardu

• Arrive in Skardu via flight or jeep from Islamabad. • Rest and acclimatize in Skardu. • Briefing on the expedition details and preparation.

Day 2-3:
Skardu to Shyok Valley

• Travel by jeep from Skardu to Shyok Valley (approx. 6-7 hours). • Set up base camp in Shyok Valley.

Day 4-6:
Trek to Base Camp

• Begin trekking from Shyok Valley to the Base Camp of Baitress Tower. This trek takes 3-4 days, depending on pace and terrain. • Set up Base Camp and rest for acclimatization.

Day 7-10:
Acclimatization and Exploration

• Spend a few days at Base Camp for acclimatization. • Explore surrounding ridgelines and nearby peaks. • Adjust to the altitude and check climbing equipment.

Day 11-14:
Climb to Camp 1

• Begin the technical ascent toward Camp 1, which is located around 4,800-5,000 meters. • Set up Camp 1 on a suitable location and rest for acclimatization. • Prepare for higher-altitude climbing.

Day 15-17:
Ascent to Camp 2

• Continue the ascent to Camp 2, located at around 5,300 meters. • Navigate steep rock faces and mixed terrain as you climb. • Spend the night at Camp 2 for further acclimatization.

Day 18-21:
Summit Push

• From Camp 2, make the final push to the summit of Badal Peak. • The summit climb involves navigating technical rock and ice sections. • Reach the summit and enjoy the stunning panoramic views of the Karakoram Range.

Day 22-24:
Descent to Base Camp

• After summiting, begin the descent back to Base Camp. • Carefully descend through rocky terrain and glaciers. • Rest at Base Camp.

Day 22-24:
Trek Back to Shyok Valley

• Begin the trek back from Base Camp to Shyok Valley. • Return to Skardu by jeep.

Day 25-26:
Trek Back to Shyok Valley

• Begin the trek back to Shyok Valley from Base Camp. • Return by jeep to Skardu.

Day 27:
Departure from Skardu

• Depart from Skardu to Islamabad or onward destinations.
