Details

Mitre Peak is a rocky peak with some ice located in close proximity to Concordia, which is a base camp for climbers and trekkers in the region. The peak is known for its stunning views of the surrounding glaciers and for marking the confluence of the branches of the Baltoro Glacier with the Gasherbrum branch from the southeast and the Godwin-Austen branch from the northeast. Mitre Peak is also known for its challenging climbing routes, with technical terrain that requires a high level of skill and experience. Despite its challenges, the peak attracts climbers and adventurers from around the world who come to explore the natural beauty of the Karakoram mountain range.

Skardu to Askole

After breakfast trek to Chogo Brangsa. Today we will leave the last inhabited village of Arandu. For the remaining portion of our journey we will rely on our local team who will carry our food and equipment. The first day of trekking is quite short following the grassy valley on the northern side of the Chogo lungma Glacier. (Tent)
